Meet J. Kaye
Hailing from the foothills of the Peak District, it didn't take much for Joe to daydream about fantasy worlds, filled with danger, adventure and magic. Particularly after seeing the LOTR trilogy, which put his passion for fictional worlds into overdrive at the age of 6...
Whilst completing his master's and then a PhD in Chemistry, he has practised his writing, completing several scripts. He also joined several writing groups to practice the craft.
He has always dreamed of being a fantasy author, writing stories of good vs evil, found family and sweeping quests! He hopes that his debut 'YET TO BE TITLED/ANNOUNCED' (how mysterious) takes you on an action-packed adventure with characters you love or love to hate in a Regency/Victorian styled world.

When not writing or reading, in his spare time, he likes to take part in running clubs, hiking and exploring cafes (to supply a need for tea) and pubs.
Currently, a duology is in the works. Initially starting as one 'epic' read, it was decided to split the book in two.
The first book, which has undergone critique from several Beta Readers and writing groups, is being submitted for editing.
The second book is currently being rewritten to make a full first draft.
Following publication of the first book, the second of the duology will be the priority, whilst spin-offs, a sequel and several prequels in the same world are undergoing planning!
The photo on the left (laptop) and below (phone) is just a small snippet of books in the sci-fi and fantasy genre that Joe reads. He is also partial to a history and a fiction book!
